What is it?
A redesign project for Underdog Pet Rescue of Wisconsin, including a logo and a system of components that create a visual brand language. These include a brochure about Underdog, business cards, apparel, and merchandise.
Summary
Underdog Pet Rescue needs a refresh and a rebrand, as its current voice and feel are dated and tired. The rebrand could include as many examples as necessary to show how it would look across real-world items.
Using Adobe Illustrator, I created the logo to be simpler and modern. I used the logo to then carry the feel of the complete rebrand, which was aimed to be approachable and friendly. With a lot of creative freedom to convey the message, I focused my attention on tangible items, including business cards, an informative brochure, tote bags, and shirts for volunteers.
Logo COncepting
While concepting the logo design, I researched several ideas on how dog logos could be portrayed. I wanted the logo to feel friendly but clean, easy to read no matter how small.
With revision to the first design, including sharpening the edges of the nose and revising the font choice, I felt this best conveyed the feeling I wanted the most.
